Special opening times: Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, 1 May, Ascension Day, Whit Monday, Corpus Christi, 3 October, 1 November, 26 December 11am – 18pm
Closed: Shrove Monday, December 24th, 25th, 31st and January 1st

Visitors with online tickets receive priority access to the LUDWIGGALERIE, but if there is a large number of visitors, there may still be waiting times even with online tickets, the RUHR.TOPCARD and the RUHRKULTUR.CARD.

A free audio guide is available for the exhibition at the ticket office and can be used on your own mobile phone or on the LUDWIGGALERIE's own devices. If you use a mobile phone, we ask that you bring your own headphones. The audio guide can also be downloaded from the website.

 

Guided Tours

▶   Group tours: 60 minutes 60 € or 90 minutes and foreign language tours 90 € + 6 € reduced admission per person

▶   Public tours: every Sunday and public holiday at 11.30 am, free of charge in conjunction with museum admission

▶   School tours: 30 € + 1 € per student

▶    Guided tours and groups without a guide only after registration and appointment with the visitor service.

 

cancellation fee

If the group does not show up or if a booked tour is cancelled less than 6 calendar days before the booked date, a cancellation fee of half the price of the booked tour will be charged.

The new RuhrKultur.Card from Ruhr Tourismus GmbH (RTG) makes it possible again: for a whole year, the entire cultural diversity of the Ruhr metropolis can be discovered free of charge or at a reduced rate.

Barrier-free access

The LUDWIGGALERIE is a barrier-free museum. Disabled parking spaces are available. The path to the entrance is on a sloping level. All floors of the main building can be reached via the wheelchair-accessible elevator. A loaner wheelchair is available. There is a disabled-accessible toilet in the basement of the main building. The Small Castle is on the ground floor and all rooms are barrier-free.
